Founder/Clinical Officer
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over ten years of progressive experience in clinical mental health, specializing in family systems therapy and clinical supervision. I have provided individual, couple, and family therapy across multiple levels of care, including outpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), residential treatment settings, and private practice.
My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. II bring a strong foundation in DMH-compliant documentation, treatment planning, and outcome-driven care.
In addition to direct clinical services, I have extensive experience supervising associates and trainees, developing clinical curriculum, and delivering psychoeducational programming. I am passionate about fostering clinician growth, providing culturally responsive care, and supporting individuals and families in achieving meaningful, sustainable change.
Maresa King M.A. LMFT
I earned my degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I chose this career out of a deep desire to help others and to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health by understanding people in the context of their relationships, family history, and lived experiences. My approach focuses on working backwards—exploring familial origins and patterns—to support meaningful, lasting change. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, practicing yoga, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
